Construction is well underway for a new 11-story, 128-unit affordable rental project called Hale Kewalo, just across the street from Ala Moana Center in Honolulu and two blocks from the beach.
The Stanford Carr project at the corner of Piikoi and Kona Streets is expected to be completed sometime in 2019. It will have one-, two-, and three-bedroom units which are intended for those earning 30-60 percent of the area median income (AMI).
Hawaii Affordable Properties, Inc. will be managing the complex. We'll be watching for news on the application process!
